Envelope

I can model the cactus model as a series of voids by creating the tower of the cactus then slowly create the branches of the diagram.

Tutorials

I had no trouble with the first tutorial. I was able to learn some of the basic functions with using the program Solidworks. The difficulty I faced was finding the midpoint of the line.
The second tutorial was alright however there were some difficulties with flexing the shape.
The third tutorial was one of the tutorials where I had trouble with. This is the best I had to do.

Final Submission For EXP1

They have been some mistakes with this experiment. There were two custom machinimas in this experiment whereas one has to be created. There was a misunderstanding of the found machinima clip, thought this was supposed to be a compilation of explosions.

Found Machinima- NEW VERSION
This clip hasn't been composed well, there were problems with adding the videos from the internet. Apart from that, this machinima clip gives an insight to how an explosion expands upwards and vertically in size.

CRYSIS

Experimentation Machinima Documentary- Custom Machinima

As shown in the experimentation machinima, different scenarios were investigated where an explosion expands upwards and vertically. We see that the first two experiments are most effective with meeting the hypothesis from the Call of Duty 4 nuclear bomb scene. The last experiment was not decent because the result of this explosion wasnt similar to the results for the first two experiment.

Compilation Machinima Documentary- Another Custom Machinima which was mistaken as found machinima, OLD VERSION OF FOUND MACHINIMA

As shown in the compilation machinima, oil drums or dynamites are determined whether they were effective for a explosion to expand upwards and vertically. Dynamites were considered to be the best candidate for the hypothesis, which was determined whether they expand upwards and vertically. Whereas oil drums weren't the best solutions for acheiving the hypothesis, they make the explosion messy and ineffient with expanding upwards and vertically. However oil drums are good with expanding the explosion across.

Experiment One Draft

Experimentation Explosion Machinima

My experimentation explosion machinima is a reflexive and observational documentary. It is reflexive because it gives us an insight how the explosion expands in size as shown with the Call of Duty 4: Nuclear Bomb Scene. It is also observational because were observing how much destruction occurs in a expanded explosion.

Compilation Explosion Machinima

My compilation explosion machinima is similar to the experimentation version however it's a compilation test. This is because I'm using a variables by the explosion by it's own as well as the explosion including people and vehicles. The Compilation Tests are to ensure how an explosion expands in different scenarios.

Composite & Custom Expolsion Experiment Machinima Clips

UNFORTUNATELY, I MADE A MISTAKE WITH MY MACHINIMA CLIPS, I WAS SUPPOSED TO MAKE THREE DIFFERENT METHODS. ANYWAY HERES MY STARTING POINT.

With my first machinima clip, there was room for improvement because my clip clearly didn't mirror well with my machinima clip, Call of Duty 4. I was expecting more destruction for my explosion however this didn't work out due to oil drum/ explosives not exploding at the same time and accendential inclusion of props like statues and ladders. Another problem is that the speed of the computer was slow because of too many objects, which was not one of the best explosions I created.

With my second machinima clip, I managed to mirror my machinima clip. My explosion was able to expand in long distance however the improvement I have to make is by including more explosives to make the explosion more dramatic.

Now take a look at my composite video:
